Despacito the song of Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi with Daddy Yankee was released in 2017. It became the number streaming music of that time within six month. The single a mix of reggaeton and pop music has not just brought interest in reggaeton but also attracted attention towards Latin music more generally. The Billboard Top 100 included four mostly Spanish songs in 2016, and two songs in 2015. At the height of Despacito's popularity, 19 tracks mainly in Spanish made it to the Top 100. In 2020, it will have 41 hits in this category. Justin Bieber re-mixed Despacito with a Spanish version in 2017. In the year following, the most well-known artists began collaborating with reggaeton acts. Drake teamed with Bad Bunny for the production of MIA (2018) and Madonna collaborated on Medellin together with Maluma (2019). A few performers of reggaeton have criticized the shift to popular music by 2020. A newly formed group called Rauw Alejandro wanted to maintain the growth and evolution of reggaeton. He often incorporated elements from electronic dance music as well as other styles.
